The Challenge
Architectural design of custom homes largely depends on the client being able to visualize what the home will look like - before it is built. But what if you have trouble "seeing" it? What if you can't visualize the end product based on architectural drawings alone?
The Solution
A physical model of your home, in your hands. The model will be accurate and will help you visualize the home before construction starts. Lift up the roof to see the second floor. Then lift up the second floor to see the first floor!
Benefits for You
Save time and money by avoiding miscommunication between client, architect, and contractor. Once a construction project is underway making changes is very costly in time and money, and can cause interpersonal stress.
What size will the model be?
The model will be scaled such that the longest dimension is about 8", which is the maximum size of our high-resolution printers.
How do I get it?
Leave it to us. It will arrive at your doorstep, well protected.
How detailed is the model?
Detailed enough for you to visualize your home. We typically include cabinets, sinks, bathtubs, kitchen countertops, and islands. We do not include objects that typically move, such as beds, desks, chairs, sofas...
What about color?
We have found that our off-white color helps users visualize their space better. It also provides the client and their designer a blank "canvas" to consider paint colors for their home.
1: We connect with your Architect
We need the architect's design data to start the process.
2: We create a printable CAD model
Our advanced CAD tools create a 3D computer model.
3: We review the model with you

4: We Print your Home in 3D!

What's the cost?
A 2-story typical house will cost $4750. A 1-story house will cost $3500. We will confirm pricing when we review the project.
What about changes?
Design changes are common. Typical small modifications can be incorporated and re-printed for $750.
What if I break part of it?
No problem! Duplicates or replacements of the portion you broke typically cost $300.
What's the technology?
3D printers work by depositing material layer-by-layer to slowly build an object's size. The material we use is non-toxic and biodegradable.
